Montenegro Travel Club gives you the opportunity to enjoy the culture and gastronomy of the old royal capital of Montenegro. By doing this you will have a chance to take a walk through the small city-museum with peaceful environment surrounded by old buildings, castles and churches that will tell all you need to know about old Montenegro, its heritage, historical significance and old way of life. Second part of the tour is set for an enjoyable traditional experience at the local beekeepers farm where you will also have a chance to try out some homemade liqueurs.
- Transfer to Cetinje (optionally for an extra fee)
We will walk through the historical path of this cozy “city - museum”. Among many attractions we will visit the Cetinje Monastery, pass next to Cipuri church, Njegos palace – Biljarda, King Nicola's castle – today museum, the Presidential Palace and take a walk on the main pedestrian street. You will be able to learn a lot about the rich history of Montenegro and the struggle of preserving the tradition and culture during the Ottoman era. After the walking tour we will take a short ride to the village of Bajice, for our experience.
We will visit the local beekeepers farm in the village near Cetinje. We will arrive at the farm of the local family and visit their 200 years old house. Our host will show you the beehives and tell you stories about his ancestors and this region. You’ll have a traditional Montenegrin lunch made up of local specialties and you will have opportunity to taste our host’s specially brewed homemade liquors made of fruits and honey. The interior of the house is unique and it will make you feel privileged.
Ride back to Cetinje.
